Delicious and irresistible, but I think the gingerbread spice combined with the new Panela organic sugar gave them a special flavor.
350 g of flour
170 g of granulated sugar
80 g of honey
100 g of butter
1 teaspoon gingerbread spice
1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
Baking powder on the tip of the knife
1/2 teaspoon of salt
A few drops of lemon juice
For the glaze:
1 egg white
150 g of powdered sugar
A few drops of lemon juice.
Combine sugar, butter and honey over moderate heat and mix the resulting mixture with all the other ingredients.
Knead the dough and chill it in the fridge for an hour before rolling it out.
Knead the cold dough once more, roll out to a thickness of 5 mm.
Use a mold to remove the gingerbread, place it on a baking sheet covered with baking paper and bake at 180 degrees for about 10-15 minutes, depending on the strength of the oven.
Allow them to cool completely before decorating.
For the glaze, whip the egg whites with sugar and add a few drops of lemon towards the end. The mass should be sticky and not very thin.
You can add colors of your choice, we left that for the next round.
