Guarana (Paullinia cupana) grows in the rainy noon of the Amazon, in tropical climates in Venezuela and Brazil. Deep in the forests live the Guarani tribe of Indians who have been chewing Guarana seeds for centuries as an additional source of strength and energy and after whom this plant got its name.
Guarana contains the natural stimulant guarana, which is almost identical to caffeine, except that it is absorbed into the blood much more slowly, so its effect is much longer, more balanced and more pleasant. Guarana contains 4 - 5.5% guarana (caffeine) which makes it 3-4 times stronger than coffee.
How to use: It can be added to shakes and smoothies or made into juice, tea or a coffee-like beverage.
